La RD 350 R è nota come una delle moto preferite dai giovani degli anni novanta. È equipaggiata con un motore due tempi raffreddato ad acqua ad induzione di coppia con il sistema Yamaha YPVS (Yamaha Power Valve System), triplo freno a disco, carenatura integrale, 58CV a 9000 giri/minuto, 150kg di peso, cambio a sei marce e una velocità massima di quasi 190km/h.

It has a liquid-cooled, 2 stroke, torque-induction engine with YPVS (Yamaha Power Valve System), triple-disc brakes, aerodynamic full fairing, 58 hp at 9000rpm, 150 kg weight and a 6-speed gearbox. It could reach almost 190km/h.
